Our new web address will be up and running shortly, so you can just click on links for workshops and open studio hours.

(Everything is provided). Then on December 4th, 12-4 we will be providing soup, generously donated by Crave Restaurant, in a bowl of your choice. Which you will get to keep! Proceeds are being donated to Salvation army Kettle Campaign. Please help us give to this worthwhile fundraiser by purchasing a bowl of soup. $25-. Tickets to be purchased ahead of time. The time is getting closer! I would love to be there already, however once there the time comes being there it goes so quickly it will be over before I know it! Is that a run on sentence or what? I have already registered for a mold making seminar. It is with Ralph Carter. This is the skinny on him....
Ralph Carter has authored and presented several research papers at the Santa Fe Symposium on Jewelry Manufacturing Technology and for the World Gold Council’s International Technology Symposium. During his thirteen years with Ransom & Randolph (Maumee, Ohio), Ralph has designed dozens of investments. Virtually all of the major aerospace lost wax foundries around the world use R&R investments designed by Ralph. He is relied upon by R&R to be the technical support for their Glass-Cast product line of glass casting investments. Ralph obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toledo (aka the glass city)
Just one of many amazing minds going to be there. I think I need to buy another note taking book..Chapters here I come. Today I have yet another meeting with one of many important people who will help to determine the shape of this business. I am constantly amazed by the gifts people have out there. This person probably has no idea how influential they will be with my future. How they will shape this business and therefore help to determine which way I will go in life. I know I have the final say, however none of that matters if any one of the important people decide that it can't be done. Or I could just jump over the barrier and keep fumbling along. Just like usual. Nothing really changes does it? Yeah I can post! This is a crazy time....Looking at new warehouse spaces, getting shipments in, phone calls, and meetings. When does it get quieter? Hopefully never. I do like to rush around and be busy although not much glass art gets done this way. I have done some pretty amazing new ideas in the kiln lately and I am quite happy about it. I will post pics of these later.
As for the future glass work we will see what arises from these prototypes I have created. Today however I am off to my friend Richards' who is a metal worker. Hopefully he is able to build me some cool stands for my shields I have been working on.... That's right the shipment came in earlier than originally thought! I didn't expect it till Friday. However after getting Home I found out that not only had it arrived, but Luc had single handedly moved it all into the studio by Himself! What a guy!
So now that it is inside I am busy opening crates & sorting orders etc. But we still have too much! Starting this Saturday 10-5 & Sunday 10-5 we are having our Fall sale! All sheet glass, frits, rods, stringers 30% off. All in stock molds 25% off. How great is that? Almost like Santa has arrived early! Our sale will continue till Christmas..
We have new hours now please note..Tuesday-Thursday night 6-9:30 and weekends (both Sat. & Sun) 10-5 or by appointment. See you at the Sale!! So last night was the opening night of JASS, at Museum London. A juried Art Show & Sale. First off getting in is a good thing, then having an award is great but selling your Art is the goal. Or is it?
I got in, I won an award (the Award of Excellence), Now to sell the piece. But do I want to now? It's an excellent piece. It looks great in my living room, I enjoy looking at it....We shall see.
To the judges..Thanks for the award! I was really surprised! Just to be in it was great. Now do I think I can enter other Art Galleries? Maybe? So I love to work on the computer first thing in the morning...Today I am working once again on the newsletter. This Mac can apparently launch a rocket ship to Mars. But can I find a newsletter program? Am I so blind? Sara & I designed a great power point presentation for everyone. Alas it will stay on my computer. Apparently if you don't have power point it wont open on your computer.. Who knew?
Now off to find the program.... Just to let you know about the great sale we are going to have. Get your shopping lists ready!!! He was in hiding. Are we that bad he didn't want to get to know us? It took 3 long days & nights before he came out of hiding! Yesterday I tore the basement apart! went into the rafters, crawled behind brick walls, etc. To no avail. Then last night at the end of studio time....up the stairs he crawled! Very thin hungry & thirsty. And in need of a good belly rub. Oh well He is back, hopefully he will get used to us. He is such a beautiful fellow.
New stuff happening at the studio soon New hours & workshops. Marlene's workshop totally full for this weekend. I am so looking forward to it. I will hopefully take tons of pics & post them. Have a great Day today...I know I am.
Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat, Where have you been? I've been to London to see the Queen. Pussy Cat, Pussy, Cat What did you there. I scared a mouse under the chair!! Remember that poem? Do they teach poems anymore? Okay met with the web guy last few weeks, and talked about a newsletter sign up sheet. Apparently e-mail thinks it's scam unless you have a sign up sheet with a dis-able (is that the right word?) place on it. SO if you don't wish to receive any more newsletters you can cancel it. Much like a magazine without the cost OR without the trying to stop arguments with accounting. Sounds like i have had that experience before!
Anyways if you wish to receive newsletters, with specials & announcements & such like please go into the News & Updates. At the top there is a red Newsletter Sign Up area click on that it will e-mail me & I will send you Newsletters! Yea! 1
